Make the most of your stay by spending some creative time in our studios. Learn new things in our 3-hour workshops for families or small groups with specialised instructors. Choose your favourite or ask for it when you make your reservation. The price includes materials and use of tools: 25€/ adult 15€/child .

Ceramic Figurines

Ceramic Figurines
Minimum 2 adults; Maximum 10 participants.

Ceramic figurines have a long tradition in Portugal, especially in the areas where traditional pottery is common. It is a spontaneous form of popular artistic expression, depicting everyday life.

Using various modeling techniques, you will create fun clay figures. You can take your small sculptures home or leave them in the studio to be put in the kiln.

The price includes baking in the kiln.

Felting Wool

Felting Wool
Minimum 6 adults; Maximum 12 participants.

Felting sheep's wool is an ancient technique that has long been practised all over the world. It gained new followers and new ways of using it have been developed, thanks to its aesthetics and its ecological credentials.

During this experience you will learn the basic technique and make a small wool square, by your own design. We challenge you to go beyond what you know, using bright colours.

Carving Chestnut Wood

Carving Chestnut Wood
Minimum 2 adults; Maximum 6 participants.

There's no better way of starting to work with wood and get to know it better than through carving. Using a selection of chisels you will make your own carving, following your own design.

You will be carving chestnut wood, a noble wood that grows in the Lousã hills, which grows very homogeneously. Children over the age of 6 can take part if accompanied by an adult.

Miniature schist house

The architecture of a schist village is fascinating. No two houses are the same! We will look at the patterns and rules that govern these constructions by making a miniature schist house.

Chanfana in a wood oven

Chanfana in a wood oven
Minimum 4 adults; Maximum 20 participants.

Chanfana is the most typical dish in the center region of Portugal. After seasoning the goat's meat, it is placed in a black earthenware pot inside a traditional wood oven and cooked for 4 hours. Good appetite!
